The wall - to stop the traffic calling in the bedroom - has also been built - block wall and then railway sleeper inner wall with a bed of bricks and broken tiles inbetween. On top of the infil will be soil and then strawberry plants.

Looks good from up the road towards Boston

and the view from the house has been enhanced somewhat from a rusty old shed
An added bonus is that I have at last after 20 years got somewhere to keep all the old 78rpm records which I collected in the 1980s. As I unpacked the tea chests it was obvious that the rats had been using them for a nesting place but with a bit a tender care and a soapy water bath they will come up like new. Pity about the sleaves though. All nibbled and shredded.
As you can see the old paint brushes have taken a good bashing and I recon we have used about 100 litres of paint now and it all needs another coat. The next coat will be a lot easier now that the holes in the blocks have had their first coat.

Hello Mr and Mrs R.
Looks like a lot of hard work, but now everything looks lovely! Rob's bike has a good home now, along with your old records :D
