Shed gets a lid on

After the Christmas and New Year holiday work has restarted on the shed which has now got the timbers up for the roof to go on. The wind has also decided to return so it may be a few days before the rest of the work can go ahead. The roof timbers have made a big change to the image and we can now see that the shed is almost as big as the bungalow we lived in on Spring Farm Lane. It is 40 feet long and 17 feet wide with two bays and a workshop. Below are some photos so that you can see the new work.

Above is the view from the South. The walls will be painted white instead of the horrible rusty brown which the shed had become before we demolished and rebuilt.

This next is the view we will have from the yard and house. I will burn off the excess paint from the reused brick leaving only the odd white one.

Robs bike is now dwarfed by the space made after the big clear out which gave us a good garden fire for two days and we spent a whole day going back and forth to the tip with the stuff which would not burn.

Eventually Rob, your bike and trailer will go up in the roof space resting on the ceiling joists out of the way and providing very good nesting sites!!!!!!!
