
They are not used to being pets and will take some time to get used to us. They have not gone to roost in the hut I have built but are squat under the hedge. There is no way we are going to get them away as we have spent all afternoon trying to catch them with no luck.

Very pretty though with the pompom feathers on the top of the head and the feather spats on the legs

Latest news - Margaret crept up on the very tired sleeping hens and one by one snooked them into the hut where they are squat in a pile but safe fron the fox. Three of the grown ups had gone to roost on the back of the garden seat and were easy pickings but the mothers, with chicks, had gone deep into the thorn hedge and needed a bit of coaxing.
